Halloween
8 Month--Power use and abuse of it
3 Universal Day--Playful, being childlike in awe (not immature) and creative

With the Moon in Libra until mid-afternoon, the airy, balanced energy continues. This is a '3' day and if possible, even though it's Monday, make it a day of play. Creatively, this time should not be squandered. Thinking outside the box is easy to do. A '3' also is about children and of course, with Halloween here, parties abound at schools and so do costumes. The last aspect of the day, mid afternoon, is Moon sextile Venus. This portends a happy celebration for all at this time. It should be a fun day for all; even the adults. However, a word of warning: The Moon goes Void-of-Course (VOC) at 3:17 p.m. until 11:29 p.m. (nearly midnight) PST. This is NOT a good time to allow children to run around a neighborhood in the dark. Confusion reigns and adults must be with their children if they want to go trick and treating. The VOC causes confusion and things can go wrong. A child suddenly running out into a road can get hit by a car they don't see because they are excited or focused on something else. Also, check the candy for any razors or other nasty stuff that sick adults put in the goodies. Halloween is about something far more serious; and that is that the veil between the worlds is thinned. This is the time when our loved ones who have crossed over, can more easily communicate with us. We should all take a moment to think warmly of those who have passed on. Life should never be taken for granted; rather, appreciated. And this is one of those days when such a philosophy holds true.

In addition with Neptune just having turned direct on 10.26, we are still feeling the chaotic and nebulous effects of it--and will for about three weeks before this confusing energy final straightens out. Listen to your intuition and hunches as a way to navigate the days ahead.

Welcome to October: We are now in an '8' month. This is energy about how we handle power--our own and others. At its worst, it is about bullies, people intimidating us, trying to push us around and generally win the day by being louder, pushier and disrespectful to humanity in general. On the up side, it is about the 'balance' of power within yourself and how you are going to use it on a daily basis. We all have power; there's no question of that. It is HOW we use it; especially under stressful circumstances, that really counts. The '8' on its side is the symbol of Infinity. It reminds me of a teeter-totter that sits in perfect balance, as well. The '8' is use/abuse of power. Will you EMpower yourself and others? Or will you DISempower others because you feel needy, wanting and a victim of circumstance? Or, will others DISempower you -- and you allow them to do it? These are all choices and learning events in our life and usually they are not comfortable. When you confront a powerful person or authority (think the government here, a police person, ect.) everyone gets scared to a degree. It is what you do with yourself during the stress/fright/fear, that you will be judged upon. This is a wheeling-dealing energy and there's plenty of 'shell-game' people out there this month and with Mars retrograde, this is NOT a good time to start up a new business or a new anything. It is a time to take your power to finish off and tie up loose ends. It is also an excellent time to take the journey within yourself; so meditating and yoga are two things you can do to EMpower yourself. If you do it every day this month, you can change your life quite literally--for the better. An '8' month is also about Big Government and you're going to be seeing people in power get toppled or get chopped down to their knees (and they deserve it) because they've become arrogant and forgotten that they SERVE the people, not become greedy power mongers; so watch for more high level government officials in Congress/Senate, get felled.
