MARCH 2006

This is a highly emotional month where people are going to be far more sensitized and sensitive to the world around them. It is about cooperation and the other person, be it your spouse, your child, your office coworker or state to government interface. This is the beginning of what I term Dark Night of the Soul or running the Cosmic Gauntlet. We all do this off and on through our lives; we all have times when things just seem to be so dark and unrelenting that we wonder if we can survive it. And yet, we do. These times help us build spiritual strength, a necessary part of our ability to evolve. If we can't hold the energy in the cup of ourselves, then we cannot hold the new energy that is coming into being starting in March onward of this year. And we want to be as prepared as we can.

With Pluto conjunct the Galactic Center with Hades opposite them, this is a time of break down and dissolving on all levels. This month is going to be tough, emotionally speaking, for most all of us. This is a time of loss but with loss comes opportunity for new things to take their place in time. On March 2-25th, Mercury is retrograde and this is NOT a good time to sign contracts, make any kind of agreement or start anything new. If you do, it is not going to work or it will change markedly into something you did not intend. This is a time, rather, to tie up loose ends and attend to things that have not been completed. It is also a good time for research. In addition Jupiter goes retrograde March 4, 2006.

There are two eclipses in the month of March and they are likened to a flashlight turning on in a dark room. The nature of an eclipse is to shine light into our own darkness--to identify something we need to see and know. Those most affected by these eclipses will be Aries and Libra by sun sign. On March 14th there is a Full Moon lunar eclipse and this one is charged with high tides of emotion, since the Moon symbolizes the water (emotions) of our body and our feelings.

March 20th is the Spring Equinox, a time to say thank you to Mother Earth and a time of renewal, although that new beginning will be delayed by Mercury because it does not turn direct until March 25th. If you want to start something new, do it at the end of the month, or preferably, wait until April, which is far better, energy-wise, for new enterprises.

March 25th Mercury turns direct. I would give it at least a week (7 days) of being direct before doing anything new. Wait until April comes around.

Pluto goes retrograde conjunct the Galactic Center on March 29th. The 29 number energy is one of powerful emotional impact; as if we don't have enough emotions running around on high tide this month. People are going to feel bruised and beat up by the roller coaster emotions caused by this month not only by the two eclipses, but by the expression of energy for March as a '2' energy numerologically speaking. When Pluto goes retrograde, its 'shadow' influence is felt roughly two weeks in advance. From March 15th onward, there is going to be a slow, but sure transformation going on inside all of us and outside of us. The world is a stage and we're all players on it. You are going to see some powerful changes in March because of Pluto and the GC are working together to actually MOVE and CHANGE the reality template we stand upon in the third dimension. The best place to be for this turning motion is being quiet and calm within your own core. Meditation and yoga can put you there, so I highly recommend these two forms of spiritual attunement to get the most positive experiences out of this Pluto conjunct the GC. This is a time of Initiation. There is no question about that. Be a participant from the heart level and this is the month you, too, will evolve along with the movement of our cosmic, earthbound template.
