LATIN: Aconitum napellus (Monkshood)
GOOD FOR: Shock. Trauma. Panic attacks. Fears that freezes us. Fear of flying. Anxiety attacks. The beginning of a cold or flu. DID YOU KNOW?
You are of a deep psychological bint and very interested and curious about how people cope in the world. A high interest in the psychological underpinnings of yourself and others, you listen to your strong, well developed intuitive side. Absorbing information like a sponge you may not have to study a lot to retain it. Or, you may have some dark, staining issue/wound/trauma (usually subconscious) that is causing you to project onto others. If this is the case, then you need to take an inner journey of self-discovery to spot their Shadow contents (darkness), expose it, and then work through it and release it. More than anyone, you have the ability to be one of the most powerful people in the world. You are a world-class world changer if you choose to be. THE HEALTHY YOU:
You are a transformer and catalyst, first for yourself. Your ability to sway other by simply being you is awesome. Later, you may go into medicine, the healing arts, detective or psychology types of a career. Other areas that interest you is detective, medical pathology or forensic work. Always fascinated with the human mind and emotions and how they work, your understanding of human nature is well developed. No one has the power like you do to make a difference in the world. It can be through your own quiet living of your life, or perhaps through your art, writing, teaching or other forms of communication. One thing for sure, when you 'reach out and touch someone' they are forever changed because of it. THE UNHEALTHY YOU:
If your wound is not healed, you may think the world a dark place and be very pessimistic or hopeless in attitude toward Life in general. Consequently, your ability to listen to others is short circuited and under used. Your thinking processes may be highly self-centered and narcissistic, instead. The world revolves around you and your needs only. Very selfish thinking (everything is always about you and there is no sensitive or awareness of other's needs or suffering) is an earmark. Often, you hide your emotions. No one really knows what you are feeling unless you tip your hand. Then, you may become highly emotional and you choose not to use your rational or logical side of your mind (although you can very easily). As a consequence, you may become an emotional drama king or queen as a way to get what they want or to communicate your needs as a form of maipulation to get attention or what you want. Because you understand human behavior to an advanced degree, you may become highly manipulative, or very good at being passive-aggressive is you do not feel you are in control of your life and decisions.

READ ON AND FIND OUT ABOUT THIS WONDERFUL NATURAL ESSENCE. COLD REMEDY FOR THE WINTER SEASON Colds are the bane of Humanity's existence. There has never been a CURE for colds. Some of the old fashion "grandma's remedies" came close, but not quite. In the Homeopathic arsenal of remedies, there are a number of what is known collectively, as "cold remedies." I've seen, sometimes, the cold stopped in its tracks and the provision is: if you catch the cold as it is forming, then you can stop it from occurring at all. However, once the cold gets fired up, it's tough to "chase it down." An interesting phenomena occurs if one has the patience to chase down a cold. Often a cold will change 'character' after the first remedy is taken, and then you have to retake your own case by looking at what symptoms are left, or if any new ones have appeared. Often, after taking a remedy, the character of the cold may change within twenty minutes! And then, a new remedy has to be taken. Some colds 'switch' midstream and in a homeopathic prescribing sense, is a pain to chase down. Other colds, if you take one remedy that most closely resembles the major symptoms, will go away. I find this particularly true of Aconite types of cold. Below are the most popular homeopathic cold remedies. If the bulk of your major symptoms "fit" one of these remedy pictures, try it. The best that will happen is that it will cure your cold within a couple hours of taking the remedy. Often, a homeopathic remedy will "nip" the cold and it will be shorter in duration or it will take away some of the most obnoxious symptoms and leave you with a very mild version of the cold. Any of these are preferable to the misery of having a cold for 3 to 7 days. DOSAGE INSTRUCTIONS: For any remedy for colds, try taking a pellet/tablet once an hour for three hours. If the cold has not responded and the symptoms aren't any better by that time, retake the case and decide upon another remedy. ACONITE (Aconitum Napellus): This remedy should be thought of in two specific areas. First, if you are in that lull period, a couple hours or a day before the cold symptoms first appear, Aconite can stop the cold before it starts and completely cure it. The key here is catching the cold and usually, hours or a day before catching it, most people begin feeling a little more tired than usual, perhaps a hint of a headache coming on, a slight grade fever or just a feeling of "blah." That's when you should take one dose of Aconite 30C. The cold will disappear and so will the tiredness/lethargy symptoms. By the next morning you'll feel like your old self and have your energy back. The second way to use Aconite is if you've gone outside and taken a chill, or been indoors and yet, been caught in a draft. Or, if it has been hot and a summer storm drops the temperature 30 or 40 degrees, that is a sudden chill situation, too. Remember how Mom use to insist we put on a coat, a hat and our golashes before we went out in the rain or snow? And remember how most of us resisted--and a few of us that did--caught that blasted cold she was nagging at us we'd catch if we didn't dress warm? Well, that's an Aconite situation. So, if you have children like this and they come in from play looking a little peaked, or they start sleeping more, or are off their feed just a tad, give them a dose of Aconite to stop the cold before it starts.
Aconite colds come on suddenly, too. It may only take an hour after experiencing the chill or sudden drop in temperature for the cold symptoms to hit. There is a lot of sneezing, a burning sensation in the throat, restlessness (moving from chair to chair or bed to another room), and the symptoms are always worse a night.
ACONITE AND THE FLU SEASON
With the "flu" season coming up on us, and I hear it's supposed to be a dilly this year--but if you remember, every year flu is predicted to be worse than the year before or the worst ever--take your pick! It's amazing the broad spectrum brainwashing that goes on about instilling a 'flu' scare into the general public--I'm sure that pharmaceutical companies are rubbing their hands and adding up the money they will make on the dispensing of the flu shot/vaccination for that year. Indeed, a lot of money is spent for a flu shot. What most people don't realize is that every vaccination continues to hammer away at our immune system. Some people and their vital force can take this kind of hammering and it won't subject them to problems down the line--but the rest of us--look out.
Homeopaths do not advocate immunizations, mainly because it damages the immune system. If you have to take ANY shot--and you have a nasty reaction to it, please consider taking THUJA 30C (or the homeopathic remedy most closely aligned with your symptoms) after receiving the vaccination. It will protect you from the sometimes uncomfortable or violent reactions to putting this diseased material (that's what a shot is, many times) into our body. Vaccinations shock our immune system, and too many shocks can permanently damage it so that it can never get back into a state of balance with itself so that it can protect us from incoming viruses and bacteria. That is why the correct homeopathic remedy which takes the shock and potential reactions to the physical body. Homeopaths in England give a flu nosode, which is a potentized diseased material, at a very low potency of 30C along with Bacillinum nosode 30C, and it is to be taken once every 3 weeks during the winter months. This is far gentler to the immune system and there are no negative side-effects.
Instead of a flu shot for this winter, why not think about a homeopathic remedy instead? It certainly will be cheaper, it's natural with no side effects. Flu vaccinations have been known to paralyze people, or even kill them--why risk this for 24 or 48 hour flu? To me, the risk isn't worth it. Plus, I don't want to pulverize my immune system any more than I have to.
One great PRE-flu remedy is Aconitum Napellus or Aconite. You can get a 30C potency, and it will serve you well. IF you can catch the flu or cold while its in what I call its "quasi" stage--there are no true symptoms that have yet appeared, then take the Aconite--one dose every hour for three hours in a row. That should stop the cold or flu in its tracks, and you won't get it. Sounds simple, doesn't it? Almost unbelievable, right. Yes, but it works. The trick, again, is to realize you're feeling a little down, maybe not as much energy, not as perky, a little mentally dull--but now specific symptoms have arrived yet, such as a headache, a fever, sniffles or whatever. If you take the Aconite after any of these symptoms have appeared, then it won't stop the flu or cold at all.

1. Desire to be alone. 2. Answers in monosyllables. 3. Apathy to their surrounding environment. 4. Needs to be covered up despite the feeling of heat. 5. Depression. 6. Fear of suffocation. 7. Panic or anxiety attack. 8. Begs for forgiveness and excuses self for any errors in speech she makes. 9. Annoyed by light. Wants it dark and quiet, instead.
